VISA APPROVAL!!

Just shy of 7 months from the referral of our son....we have an approval to bring him home!!

Thank you Jesus!!

Trek loves to point at the airplanes flying over head and will get all excited and pat his chest.

Trek, buddy...less than a week and you'll be on one on your way home...finally!

I am so thrilled!! What a blessing, what an answer to prayer! You must be so overwhelmed with gratitude and praise to God. I cannot wait to see pics of when you arrive home! Wish I could be there in Maine to see your arrival!

Adoption Timeline

1/16/09...God calls us to adoption again by giving Mike a word at night. 2/28/09...Decision has been made....We are answering the call the Lord has given us! To Nepal for a SON! 2/28/09...Sent AGCI all the contact info for CHCS to do all the legal stuff so we can use Stephanie for our home study. 4/11/09...Lia Sophia fundraiser! We raised 205.00! Thank you Angel and all my shoppers! 4/13/09...Door closed for using AGCI. Looking at Adoption Associates Inc. (AAI). We have sent paperwork to CHCS attorneys to look over. Hopefully we'll be good to go with this agency. 5/15&16/09...Yard sale fundraiser....raised & 1,587.15!!! 6/10/09...Filled our International Preliminary Adoption Application and emailed it to Suzanne. 6/19/09...Received Agreement For Service contract from CHCS. 6/30/09...Got the approval to work with Florida Home Studies and Adoption from CHCS 7/14/09...Mailed our preliminary application to FHSA ($250.00) FINALLY! Also mailed some paperwork to CHCS. Picked up my birth certificated and marriage certificate. 7/22/09...Mailed our official application with our first payment of $2950.00. 7/30/09...Got our dossier packet in the mail! It's official we have a FC now :) 10/29/09...USCIS Fingerprint appointment for Mike & I (our 16th wedding anniversary + 3 years ago our dossier arrived in Beijing) 11/10/09...I171H!!!!! 12/4/09...We get an email from FHSA telling us a family withdrew their application and there is one spot left for 2009. If we can get 9200.00 by December 15th we can send our dossier! WE BEGIN TO PRAY FOR A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! 12/14/09...The Mountain Has Been Moved!!!! The Lord has provided 9200.00! 12/15/09...We called FHSA to testify how the Lord has provided the last 2000.00 needed! Karen tells us that our dossier was sent to Nepal yesterday 12/14/09 in faith that we would send the money this week! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! 8/2/10...GOT OUR REFERALL FOR OUR SON!!!!!!!! We need to raise $7000.00 in just a few days! Help us Jesus! 8/6/10...USA suspends Nepal adoptions. I feel sick. We got our referral just in time! Thanking Jesus and praying for those who did not get a referral. 8/10/10...Referral arrives at adoption agency!! 8/11/10...We get the official referral in our hands!!! Signed the acceptance letter and mailed our money! 8/12/10...Our package arrived to FHSA and they have scanned a copy of our referral acceptance and sent that to Nepal!!!!!! Now we wait for travel approval! Praying it comes soon! 8/31/10...Teleconference between USCIS & adoptive parents concerning the filing of our I600. 9/1/10...Filled out our I600 and overnight it to FHSA. FHSA sent our I600 with all supporting documents to Nepal (against their advice). 9/16/10...I600 with all supporting documents have been delivered. "As you understand, every case is unique so we really do not have a time frame when the investigation will be complete." PRAYING is goes quickly and "they" are satisfied with ALL his evidence! Praying we hear word soon and that it will be good news! 10/13/10...Received our Final Decision on Adoption letter. Telling us we have 60 days to come to Nepal and complete our adoption. Praying for wisdom! The investigation is not finished that we know of. 10/22/10...Woke up to this email.... We are pleased to inform you that on October 21, 2010 Secretary Shrestha of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare (MOWCSW) provided Ambassador Scott DeLisi with written confirmation that the Ministry is granting 60 day extensions (for a total of 120 days) to prospective adoptive parents in the Nepal pipeline for whom the Embassy had sent a letter requesting an extension. This group of parents includes your family.

11/9/10...KTM sends our case to New Delhi.

11/25/10...Left for Nepal

11/28/10...We held Trek for the first time!!!

12/3/10...Adopted Trek!!!

12/6/10...Got word from USCIS that our file/case was sent to New Delhi.

12/14/10...Heading home without Trek

1/29/11...Benefit dinner and auction...raised $6200.00

3/6/11...Headed for Nepal again. Flying Qatar to Doha then onto KTM.

3/8/11...Land in KTM, Nepal. See Trek for first time in three months!

3/22/11...VISA APPROVAL!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!

3/24/11...Visa interview with US Embassy

3/28/11...Pick up Trek's visa around 10AM and head home at 8:30PM!

3/29/11...Trek has landed on American soil and is now an American citizen!

3/30/11...Trek meets his sisters for the first time!

3/31/11...First full day home as a family of 5! I turned 36!
