Mike has a restless night and sees these letters in a dream... BANAU....
While having his devotions he feels compelled to Google these letters to see if it means anything or if it is even a word.
Turns out Banua is in Nepal. He finds out that there are a large number of orphans there. Is this word from the Lord....is he maybe leading us in a new direction other than China?
I called some adoption agencies today to see what the process looks like, how much it costs, what the requirements are.
We find out that because we have two girls we would be required to adopt a boy.
Does the Lord want us to have a son???
Nepal just opened their doors to foreign adoptions in October of 2008.
All this information comes to light in a time of us seeking God's will and direction for us with a second adoption.
It is also a time when our financial need plus our debt are near an all time high.
Adopting from Nepal would mean a son. AWAA recently sent us a letter encouraging adoptive families (fathers) to consider a boy.
We KNOW our Lord does not look at our finances or debt when he appoints us to adopt a child.
Lord, if this is your direction for us please lead on. We TRUST in your hand to guide and provide every penny no matter how bleak the current situation.
How cool it would be to go and get a son to raise up for the Kingdom of God. It would be awesome and incredible to adopt a son from such a needy region set in such a majestic location of your creation.....the Himalayas!
Lord I pray if this Idea is of you give me eyes to see your signature giving us entry into this season of our lives. If adopting from Nepal is not your will and there is another reason for bringing this country to our focus please give light to our eyes to see and know your will.
Please God bring us another step closer to becoming father and mother to an orphan child. Your will is our desire.
Jesus spoke to people in parables because he knew it is how they would understand. Why then would I be surprised in the manner that he speaks to me by Words and phrases jumping off the page at me.
Matthew 17:1
After six days Jesus taketh Peter, James and John his brother and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart.
Jesus transfigured on the mountain. This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Here ye him.
vs. 20
If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed you shall say to this mountain, REMOVE from this place and it will be done. NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU!
Psalm 4 You have put gladness in my heart.
Isaiah 46:11 (King James Version)
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
